I don't know about marathon, but I like this piece ... I was captured by the sky/clouds and believe I saw some odd creatures in them. Of course it could just be the meds.

Nice job, man. It has a very different feel to it than most of the other space scapes here abouts. Really hard and gravelly. I like it. And Marathon is indeed fantastical, a huzzah for Bungie's sweeter years!

Very nicely done! I agree that it's just a tad too sharp. But not much. Also, that central planet is pretty contrasty, almost grungy, which goes slightly against the style of the rest of the piece. There are a couple of spots where the dark clouds look almost like they're just holes in the lighter gases, which they're not. I'm not quite sure why they look that way, or what you could do to fix that. It's a subtle thing. Nevertheless, great job. I look forward to seeing more of your work!

wow... O.O this is pretttty sweet. one thing to say, if i may? the whites on the planet are a little too strong, too focal...? perhaps a little more grey, or even blue-grey?

I think your logo at the bottom spoils this a little. There's all that marvelous depth and then you look down and BAM: simple logo right in the foreground. Try seperating it from rest of the image or make it darker and smaller so it's not so noticable.
