Personality:

He is a very responsible person, always thinking about the outcome, and what it will bring. He is very patient, and it takes a lot to make him angry, this is mostly because he has had to put up with his brother's antics for so long. However a lot of his patience was learned during his time locked away in a cell. X is smart and will think things through, and is pretty good at solving puzzles or obstacles in his way but won't shy away from asking for help if he cannot solve the issue himself.

He met Sand Dollar via the cell blocks. At one point he was moved around and she happened to be the dragon in the cell next to his. They had daily conversations and she was the one who broke him out of the cell, then helped him escape even in his weak condition. She along with Link had to nurse him back to health before they could begin their travels, as he was too weak to even walk. He and Sand Dollar have a very close relationship and he will defend her even if it means his death.

Mechanics:

He was used in multiple different types of research, primarily in replacement robotic parts. He may not look it, but he relies heavily on the “additions” to his body for survival. The metal ends of his ears function mainly like a sound booster, allowing him to pick up on very minute sounds and various sound ranges. Because of this he has very acute hearing, nothing can really get past him. His brother (Link) has discovered that when next to a TV, X makes wonderful rabbit ears, and picks up quite a few channels. His original eye was destroyed in an explosion, and the “white-coaters” took full advantage of the situation and installed a robotic eye. He now sees most things in red, X can also gather various bits of information from the eye. It gives him feeds of what is around the room, and can also zoom, target, and lock onto items or people. While he can lock onto items, it does not give him a perfect aim. He can also get statistic feeds and measurements through the lens. The shutter will vary in size depending on the zoom, much like a camera. His perspective is slightly messed up due to the different eyes and various input he is getting, and will frequently bump into things if he is not paying attention. There is a band of mechanical parts and tubes on his lower neck, this does not serve any function except for quick termination, pulling one of the tubes severs his blood supply to his brain and will bleed to death. In an attempt to hide this blatantly obvious weak spot he always wears a cloth around his neck, this also prevents accidental tugging at the artery tubes. His arm is one of the most advanced pieces of mechanics that he has. When he was taken to the labs after the explosion, his arm could not be saved and the white-coaters have been using him to test out the latest prototypes. The first ones he had were crude, heavy and painful, luckily they slowly improved the design and it got more efficient and lightweight. The arm does have the ability to change its shape depending on what form he is in, however this frequently shorts out and he will often be left with the arm of a quad while in anthro form and vice versa. There is a "flap" in the front of the arm that can open and close on will, this is to allow for air to get into the arm and prevent overheating. X tends to leave it open, but if it is raining or wet out he will close it. The one he has now is nowhere near perfect but it is the best he has. There is a far more complex mechanical system inside of him than there is outside. To start off, every piece of machinery you see outside, has to connect to nerves and various systems on the inside. That being said, he has a complex system of mechanical organs that were replaced as tests, if one of these were to short circuit, he would live in pain until the failed system would slowly kill him over a period of hours to months depending on what broke. He has to be very careful with what he eats, how much strain he is putting on his system and has to avoid getting in fights incase a hard blow would damage the system. It is unknown as to exactly how his internal system functions and he can obviously not repair it if something does go wrong. Because he escaped there is no mechanic to tune up his parts, therefore he has had to learn how to assemble and repair his parts, often scrounging for scrap metal when needed. If he finds metal or parts that he can use in the future he will store them away for later use. He tries the best he can to stay out of the rain as he does not want to cause any rusting and is very meticulous about taking care of his mechanical parts.

Clothing:

He wears a dark leather trench coat and a pair of jeans, both of which were stolen from the lab. The cloth protecting his neck is part of a white lab coat from one of the “white-coaters”, which is very ironic considering the cloth he wears for protection was once the coat from the person who tortured him. Underneath the cloth he keeps the tag that was punched in his ear. The tag was what made him a number to the staff at the lab. He keeps it on a chain and hidden away, but he always has it as a reminder what his past life was like.

The Bike:

Because he has an extensive background in mechanics, he has a great love for anything motorized. His particular favorite is a motorcycle dirt bike hybrid that he made. It is his mode of transportation and he made the seat so it can hold a passenger without taking away from the initial design of the bike. He did this so that Sand Dollar can easily tag along. While he does not do tricks or racing with the bike, Link has been caught being reckless with it only to have to deal with X later about almost wrecking it multiple times. When he is not working on his own mechanics, he spends most of his free time working on his bike. It is his project that keeps his mind off of his troubles.
