Description
I was invited up to Weston-super-Mare to stencil some 'Beware' signs into a beach mural scene, which I happily snapped up the chance to do.I had the pleasure of painting alongside Adam Mclevey again, check his website and available works for sale. Possibly the most likeable guy in street art I've met.
More guys to get down there soon (hopefully), it'll shape up real nicely.

I just happened across this on dA, wish I'd known sooner. I'm a local and thought this, and the work that went up (and is sadly gone) at the Trop, was amazing.

Thanks for the kind words, I think you're the second local to have come across this piece via deviantArt, haha.
So has it since been painted over with new mural/graffiti or was it cleaned off/painted over with a plain colour?

They put up a display spanning the front of the Trop giving a history of the pier and all the new attractions, which is a shame as there was some great work up there.

But... I love the Ides of March.
That's amazing... to have your work up on a wall permanently... How long will it stay, do you know?
Street Art... especially graffiti, is not looked highly upon here in the United States like it seems to be where you're at. Shame.

A lot of my work is up on walls if you take a look at [link]
I think it's going to stay there indefinitely, which is excellente

I really did underestimate you guys, many more people are understanding the 'March' sign that I had previously thought. This is good!

love those! it makes me quite sad that i rarely see (maybe notice?) such brilliant street art around where i live and work and study (Bham).. clever street are makes me smile
(and i especially like these cuz i went to weston in may. and because it was so nice and warm we even went swimming. i burnt quite badly and we played mini golf. in short - fun times!)

Indeed, it may be that you're not keeping your eyes open enough but more often than not, cities may just not have that sort of scene. My hometown doesn't have any sort of active street art community, apart from me.
Yes, Weston had a great looking beachfront and, had it been warmer when I was painting there, I might've dipped a toe into the sea, haha.

Thank you but there wasn't much I could do with the photos of this work since I needed to capture the 'signs' from front on and I wasn't able to include any of the surrounding area. Still, I won't convince you otherwise, haha. Again, cheers.

To be honest in general all your photos of your art are very impressive- and I like you take lots and put it into one picture- whereas I feel guilty of posting mulitiple pictures of the same piece!
Goptta say- that picture of the BFG on this wall is pretty cool!

No way! Was just admiring the top of your work when I got to the bottom and realised that it's an addition to the mural outside the college. Sweet, I live about 10 minutes away from it!
Good to see that piece being developed, it was looking a little scarce at first.

ThePpeGFX In reply to FatAnnie [2009-10-20 10:26:36 +0000 UTC]
Haha, yes, it's quite a rabble around there with hoardes of teenagers just standing around. I was happy to build the scene up a little more. There's also a ceramic tile along the promenade not far from that wall. If you walk past the mural, towards the sea and turn left, there's this [link] stuck to a lamp post on the opposite side of a traffic light crossing. How long that stays there is anyone's guess but street art is transient, I realize that
