Description
Inspired by 'Dr. Strangelove', a dark satirical film about nuclear war by Stanley Kubrick. Worth watching alone for the scene that inspired this piece : DFor £40 plus postage it's yours, note me.
6" by 16", stretched canvas.

Im sure uve been asked this a billiong times,but how do u gradually fade one color into another? is it layer by layer? and if so how do u avoid the striking diferenes between the 2 colors?

I start from the lightest colour and work my through to the darkest colour. Whilst doing the gradient, I'll make sure the blend between one colour and another works, before I start painting the next.
When I want to paint the colour on more lightly, I begin to move the can away from the canvas as I sweep across it.

Thanks! Been at it for a few years now- its pretty addicitive.
Yeah its very time consuming- mainly in creating the stencil- making sure its sturdy and that it'll replicate the image you want to create. I usually leave a few "bridges" in and then connect the image properly by colouring in those small gaps with a sharpie.
But its totally worth the effort!

I enjoy the challenge of getting the image I want right away with just the stencil, it in turn has an effect on the design of the image but constraints create styles. However I have been known to touch up small spots with a sharpie too, if a black layer has flaked off a little

Dr. Strangelove is one of my favourite movies. This scene has been portrayed so many ways in so many mediums, but you still managed to pull it off. Keep it up man, nice work.

British spit is worth a ton more, and there's so much demand for it.
Do you know how much British spit it takes me to wake up in the morning?
Two gallons. It's not cheap, but I don't know how I'd get on without it.

You talk of British spit's future with certainty but have you forgotten about the rapid increase in saliva production in China? Their reasonable yet still widely available spit is having an enormous impact on global spit market prices, none more so than on British variants, with a drop of 2.37% in the last month alone. If UN trade sanctions are not drafted up and enacted upon at once, we may well see a monopoly forming.
And don't talk to me about production mergers! The day I see Sino-British spit on the shelves is the day I die.

Yeah, I had a quick go at drawing it and didn't get anywhere, admittedly I didn't put much effort into drawing a hat when I already had one drawn. The symbol of the hat I use itself is of authority, which I thought was appropriate enough. Cheers compadre
