Finally, I get to show off the wings in motion. The wings as you see them here is the same exact wings as the Version 2 render I published about a week ago.
As you can see, the wings are able to fold unfold without the use of model swaps, and with barely any use of corrective shape keys. On top of that, the wings are very flexible, despite all of the individual feather models being present.
While I did make this animation to show off the wings, I feel like I spent a lot of that time animating the hair manually again. Spent around 2 whole days just dedicated to that part, while the entire animation has been done in about 5 days. Par for the course now, I suppose.
I'm glad that the wings are as good as they are now, and I should be able to move on from this. But of course, if you feel like there's something that could still be better about how the wings look, feel free to let me know. Just keep in mind that the type of wings I'm going for is for the wings to be functional enough to properly fold up, but I'm not necessarily gunning for hyper realistic wings either. I'm still trying to keep the overall shaping and styling of the wings as close to show style as possible while allowing the wings to be functional. Basically, I'm not gunning for hyper-realism. where every piece of wing anatomy being present. Instead, there should be just enough of it to allow the wings to fold and animate properly without model swaps.

I don't see the harm. You can cause negativity in this world by encouraging something that is harmful, like My Little Pony fanart. It can do some good to provide opposition to something that is taking views and attention away from good art.
I'm not arguing, just making my voice heard. All I ask is that I can say what I feel within reason. No one has to read it or respond.

I believe that if you are allowed to advertise something in a public space with the intention of reaching as wide an audience as possible, then everyone should be allowed to communicate how they feel about it. You are okay with people leaving one syllable comments supporting an upload, but require much more out of someone who feels they are impacted negatively by the upload. Everything we do in a public space affects everyone who shares that public space. You are literally shaping someone's experience by putting your art on a public forum. When you say that you should support an upload or be silent, you are giving the power to shape our shared experience exclusively to people who like the art that's being promoted by the artist. And, you're right, it's not serious. It's no big deal to post My Little Pony fanart, and it shouldn't be a big deal for me to say that I don't like it.
As to how it is harmful, just think of all of the art that goes unnoticed because the ravenous fanbase of My Little Pony will support anything related to the show regardless of the quality. We have seen artists leave and post their art on Facebook because they're tired of something they worked hard on being eclipsed by ponies and PewdiePie fanart. My entire favorites album is composed of art of extremely high value that was difficult to come across because people irresponsibly promote bad art to the forefront of the art community. I just want to have a small say so that I can make sharing art more pleasurable for people who are truly gifted, and don't just peddle crap to appeal to the lowest common denominator.
