Description
The Sai Class fighter is an older model fighter that has become commercially available to those with the right connections. Potently armed with a four cannon and two missile launchers, it can hold its own against most "classic" non-military fighters and gunships. On top of its vicious bite, the Sai also has powerful thrusters that can accelerate/decelerate it quickly and it comes standard with a surprisingly capable IP drive for interstellar travel. Its long bodyalso offers a decent amount of slots for mods and custom systems, storage and additional weapons, making it a versatile ship.

Its major downside is its sluggish manoeuvrability and we might as well also admit here that its systems are dated, which is to be expected of a ship class that was built almost a half standard century ago. Oh, and the default shielding suite isn't the best either, although most Sais have had theirs upgraded.

That said, if you can find one in decent condition, it's well worth the price - and if you can spend a bit of cash on ugrading its systems and beefing up its shielding, you'll have a loyal workhorse that will take a beating and come through for you in a pinch.
