Updated Reference for Jhonny Boy!

Name: Jhon Ghost
Powers: invisibility, intangibility, flight, spiritual senses
Weakness: Concentrated light forces him to be tangible, loses his flight, weakens considerably.

Notes: Jhon can become tangible by will in order to interact with object.

So Jhon Ghost (far left), can't fight in this form, as he has no fighting potential as he is. However, in order for him to unlock his powers, he must "possess" somebody else's body, then, he becomes...

Name: Captain Ghost
Powers: Spiritual Senses, Flight, Spirit Energy Manipulation, any ability inherited from the host.
Weakness: He loses his invisibility/intangibility, can't use the host's skills (sword play, martial arts, etc...) still weak to light, this time it weakens the link between him and the host.

Possession

When Jhon possesses somebody, he takes over their body, not their mind.

Again, that's body not mind

So if there's anything the body can do (turn to stone, extend, super strength, make laser beams, etc...) he can do, if he figures it out. He's pretty good at it, since he's possessed many bodies.

He can't access the host's memories or feelings, and can't read his mind while possessing him, either.

Psychic ability, though, is kinda tricky. I'd say Jhon can use it, as it's from the brain capacity or capability, and it's part of the body. However, you could argue that the host's psychic ability comes from their own mind, so Jhon wouldn't be able to use it.

So when can Jhon possess someone?

1. If the host is willing or okay with it.
2. If the host doesn't know Jhon is around. And by around, I mean, like in the immediate vicinity, not the whole world or something. If you're KO'd, tough luck

With those rules in mind, that means Jhon will/can never possess the person he's fighting.

Again, Jhon will/can never possess the person he's fighting. He may possess him after the fight, when Jhon asks nicely, or the opponent is unconscious.

What does Cpt. Ghost look like?
He's basically the host character, with a few extra details to indicate that it's Cpt. Ghost. These thing can vary from one host to another. But the common factor is, there's always a cape (adjusts to different costume designs), black eyes with red marks, and the Captain Ghost Symbol.

Here I got Steve as an example of a possession, since he's so good with spirits. It's just to give an example, you can do anything to the character.
