Description
Hi there,This is my latest creature.
MyPaint is designed to be a fast and useful, which means you do not have to learn about complex menus and things. It comes bundled with dozens of brushes arranged in sets created by artists who use it in their own work. It is as if we enter into the study of each artist and we could mess with his painting tools. Well, this time I'll try to put you in the part of my studio dedicated to conceptual design.
This set consists of 16 special brushes for "Concept Design" or conceptual design for the program MyPaint. I hope you like. more info in my blog. Sorry it is in spanish by now. easily translation on google though

I've been testing this set a few minutes ago, it is incredible. I will probably not need anything else for a long while
Thank you so much, for this and (probably even more) for GPS, you're the man who made me ditch Photoshop for good

I've been trying your concept brush set lately, but I don't really know the traditionnal version of the tools, so I have some troubles getting things right with them. Still, these brushes feel really nice.
Thanks for sharing

thanks, markers are easy to use, but not easy to master. I think traditional is even easier.let me know about your progress

I fastly tested them , as an honnest feedback ; I will not use them . First because just my taste of controling brushes in my workflow is specific as you know. Second, because I rarely use a preset now , I continuosly 'grow' preset on a base one toward a better feeling imo , depending , days, energy I have to paint, painting I have to do. This come with the hour of working with the same tools and become slow and slowly a part of my hand. That's why -especially with Mypaint- it's hard to makes a preset that I really appreciate at the first glimpse. I think I know the brush engine too well now.
But I can see this kit is polished and will find users and lovers.
I just noticed the eraser to be a bit laggy ; to solve it, reducing all the sliders under 'Dabs' category makes it still looks the same and run x5 time faster

Thanks for comment. I understand you. Each artist has its own workflow.and you are very specific as i know. a preset maniac like me.
Brush engine is really fun when you know what you are doing with it, isn´t it? we spend to much time there.
also thanks for the Eraser lag problem. i didn´t noticed on my machine.I tested all the brushes a lot before publish them to avoid this kinf of issue.

+1 and agree on all. Yes , I spend more time within sliders of brush engine, than in real life to tweaks real brushes or pen
And sure, I'm a maniac

hey hey , don't joke ; I spend lastly a little week-end of hollidays in a city next to mine with just a sketchbook and a ball-pen , and I just sitted on the grass ; drawing landscape ; or inside church drawing statue...etc... That was absolutely one of the best moment I had with 'drawing' since long time.
Computer are great to work , but to be true ; all this tools, feedbacks and Linux terminal things drive me cra~aaasy

Cool set, i love markers from it especially, they are the kind of brushes i prefer. The text on icons is quite hard to read though, imo...
