"Alright! I want a clean a fight you two! No hitting below the belt, no biting people's ears off! Got it?! Now shake!"- refereeAnother sketch of Sam (chibi size) from my sketchbook, this time during the customary shake and rules briefing before the match. Her opponent is much taller than her (which is why she has to look and shake up), and while I did think later to have a shadow over her to make it seem more menacing, it was already too late and I had scanned it in. It's just a sketch anyways. No biggie. XD Also, I left some of the smearing from the paper that was scanned in. I thought it looked better with it.

Well, in all fairness, I do spend a little more time on a sketch than I would a doodle or oekaki, which I classify as two different things. A sketch can be anything in quality up to a non-inked lineart. A line art starts a new level, and then color and so on.
So...if you want to see messy, here are some examples, though do note, they're supposed to be fast, quick jobs to get the emotion out, which is why they're doodles and not sketches (even though I may mistakenly call them that from time to time).

This is a really cute cartoon style drawing, reminds me of the Sonic Hedgehog style.
I like that such a cute character is a fighter too and probably kicks ass!

Why? What you see, or what you anticipate you'll see? Sometimes I think people like a picture because it causes them to imagine what happens next, and it's not so much the picture itself that's entertaining, but the entertaining thoughts that it provokes.

Thank you. She's neither. She's a fox. You can't see her tail in this picture. Search my gallery under Original Characters and Concepts, and you can see more of her there, both chibi and full size.
