Gah. Sorry for such a cruddy post. I knew I should've just cropped it to their faces. >_> The paper wrinkled. D:This is for the lack of SnakexMeryl fanart... You'd think that this fandom would have a lot of fanart for being canon for a long period of time, but it doesn't.... and it continues to die.
Oh, and this is my way of saying "Thanks" for the 200+ faves on my SnakexMeryl Chibis. ^-^ Never thought it would receive that much really.
I know it's overused and cheesy, but everytime I listen to "First Love" by Utada Hikaru, it reminds me of Meryl's relationship with Dave. [link]
The translation of the lyrics really seem to be fitting. I haven't played MGS4 until now... so I don't know how much of the song fits.
Yeah... so I don't know how exactly they split up...or when they last saw each other before MGS4, but I'd like to think that neither of them wanted to, but just had to.
This supposedly takes place before MGS1 and MGS2. Take note of Snake's hair length.
So anyway, if in conflict with what really happened in MGS4, just use your imagination on what had happened here.
Please refrain from posting MGS4 spoilers. D: aside from the fact that.....*MGS4 spoiler*

MGS4 could've been better if they had just made it so Snake would STILL be young (as he was looking with that young face camo) and so Meryl was still loving HIM!

MGS4 was the last game of the series. It had to end sadly and dramatically. I cried.
Since the war is over with them, Johnny died of an accident along with Johnathan and Ed. They crashed a car trying to go to Mexico.
Meryl was in the crash, but she survived because she's a lot stronger then her Rat Patrol.
With no one else in mind, Meryl becomes lost in hopes of someone, since almost everyone in the team believed that Solid Snake was dead.
Meryl will be surprised and happy again seeing Snake alive with a cure for his face.
We all can make up the ending.

i just watched MGS for the first time last night and it was AUSOME! i'm gona make my own Snake and Meryl art work too! via the best way how I'm gona use my Miku Miku Dance program and my ripped solid snake model to make a alternate ending the fans can go yay! now i just has to get a meryle model...i've got a big boss one, a genome soldier decoy and 2 metal gear rexys

and i got the thing started up. valforwing is a big fan of crossovers so the club should cover alot of different areas. so even if meryl and snake don't end up together in one fic...he should at least get a girl in the end. XD

i decided to watch MGS: The Twin Snakes so i could learn more about MGS before i watched MGS: Sons Of Liberty....but now i'm a bigger Meryl x Snake fan then i was of a Raiden x rosemary....personally i think Raiden x OC is even better!

I always loved this couple!, but I hate what they do on mgs4 with Meryl and Johnny, I mean, nothing against Johnny, I like him, he's a good guy but... Meryl as you said, was canon with Dave at the 1st, and the end it was obvious they ended together, I don't get it -_-U
