Besides, according to The Covenant of Primus (the book), The Thirteenth (you probably know who it is) was created as the last of the Thirteen Primes, and he is, to the other Primes, the youngest brother among siblings. And older brothers usually use siblings to do their shit, so I guess it does correspond well with the comic strip.

*Cracks up* I totally forgot about that for a second! And considering that the Thirteenth chose to be reincarnated and therefore probably doesn't remember his past life, I imagine that some of the Primes may be having a little too much fun at his expense (or are actually concerned about him, but are choosing to be jerks in how they show it)
