Haha...My scanner seriously sucks >

This is my first time EVER drawing Ursa! It was fun, but by the time I had finished, I was exausted from all the strenuous scribbling and erasing and...Yeah, I still kinda like how it turned out.

Yeah...She's wearing white? I don't know. I liked the vibe the white robes give off. I might color it in later.
Yay for no backgrounds!!!

THE STORY:

"Shhh..." Ursa rocked her baby gently, "Hush now, little one. Go to sleep."

He insisted on crying, so she softly began his favorite lullaby. Her peaceful voice filled his little ears, and slowly, he drifted from consciousness, perfectly content in his mother's arms.

"Ursa!" Her husband hissed from the doorway, "Are you done?"

She smiled softly, "I'll be there in a moment, dear. Please, you'll wake Zuko."

His hard jaw melted into a peaceful grin, and he walked to stand beside her.

"He'll be a great man someday," He observed.

"Shhh. Yes."

"A great man...who deserves to be Fire Lord someday."

"Ozai," She scolded in a whisper, "You shouldn't talk like that. Iroh is a very capable..."

"I know, honey, I know. Relax! I was only thinking. Don't you think I'm capable too?"

She chuckled, "Of course! It's just...You make it sound like you resent Iroh."

He wrapped his arms around her waist lovingly, "As I said, I was only thinking. Now, please come to bed. You haven't gotten much sleep since that letter you got..."

Her mind quickly flashed to the wrinkled note with a withering white lotus enclosed inside, laying worriedly on her desk. She had practically memorized every word...

"Alright," She sighed at last.

"Good," He kissed her cheek and went back to their room quietly.

Ursa watched him go with a little worry. He'd been "thinking" about what would happen if HE were Fire Lord for a long time. She was drawn back to her child when he made a feeble little yawn. With a smile, she put him in his crib and kissed his head.

Softer still, she sang the last lines of the lullaby again.

"Little prince, my little dear,
Sleep though trouble is so near.
Good-night, and have no fear."

FYI: Ozai is NOT out of character! This must be less than two year after they got married! There HAD to be SOME honeymoon-love left! Besides, Ursa wouldn't marry him if he were a total monster.
