At the age of 6, Shaya temporarily departs from the island of Misla along with her unicorn friend, Staria, but after an arduous swim, they end up washed away. Fortunately, they are rescued by Shaya's best friend Lana and and another mermaid named Mira, princess of the Violet Mermaid Tribe, so they are brought to the island of Tropa to live together for a while. Shaya, however, opts to live under the water with her mermaid friends and so the ocean becomes a second home to her beneath the waves.

On November 29, 1984, the song "Home to Me" from the TV show Sesame Street was first recorded and the episode with the segment first aired on May 15, 1985. Here, 6-year-old Shaya sings her own lyrics while under the water. The feeling of breathlessness may be challenging, yet also unique for her, but the ocean is still her second home. And with breathable resources while living with mermaids, it's where you'll find her.
