With my last piece, I tried a lot of new things, and got mixed results. I added color, of course, but I also tried a style of line work I've seen other artists favor. But after a few days away from art, I realized something: There was never anything wrong with my line work. i draw hors gud!

So this time, I went back to basics! Minimized the layers to make it feel closer to my usual M.O. and painted it the old-fashioned way. Except digital.

I like it.

P.S.: I'd planned to put some shine in his eyes, but it wouldn't make sense because he's sitting in a white void. And a complete white glaze would look just awful.
