Description
-----------------------------------------
This is a script-fu script for GIMP.
A script is usually a way to automate repetitive or complex tasks in order to speed up the work with a software.
I decided to share my scripts because I hope they can be of some help for other GIMP users like me here on dA.
-----------------------------------------
When saved as a script "Autocrop all layers" adds a menu entry under:
Filters -> All layers -> Autocrop all layers
Once selected it applies the command "Autocrop layer" to all the available layers of the image.
Description
GIMP at the moment allows to work on one layer at a time. This could take a long time when you need to apply an effect on a complex image with many layers or on an animation.
Autocrop all layers can be used i.e. to speed up the size management of an animated avatar.
-----------------------------------------
In order to use the script do the following:
Edit -> Preferences -> Folders -> Scripts

I'm happy to know that. Hopefully GIMP 2.8 will make scripts like this one obsolete.
Until then, have fun

no i don't think gimp 2.8 will make the script obsolete but i could tell you soon:
i use the very last dev version (from the GIT of few days ago) that is basically identical (except very few bugs still to be fixed ) to 2.8
So if would work on my gimp would work on 2.8 (I suppose will work but popping harmless warnings as most script for gimp 2.6)
and 2.8 has no features for apply same task on several layers

I see, thank you for the informations.
I've probably mistaken a feature request as an actual feature preview. It would be good however, if the developers enhanced the "layer groups" in order to have multiple-layer effect/functions
I prefer stable releases so I haven't tested them on 2.7, but I plan to check and update my scripts for compatibility with 2.8. They use core functions so I hope it will be a safe migration

Somody just asked me if there was something like this in gimp IRC, but there wasnt one at the time. Would you be interested of letting me include your scripts in GIMP FX Foundry?

I had a look at project and I'd love to be of some help.
Provided that you state me as the creator of my scripts
Is there anything I should add or modify (e.g. add specific comments, change the readability or the indentation...)?

All creators of scripts are retained, as you can see from the reference. You can even browse them by creator online.
I what I need is your release of your scripts under GPL or compatible license. A brief note about this in each of the scripts would be nice.
If you want to go the extra mile, you may notice that Foundry scripts have a bit special headers. Those are used for documentation generation and alike. Adding one of those with your comments is welcomed. As for coding style, it just has to be readable, and I think that criteria is filled fine.
If you have a sourceforge account and you are not afraid of SVN, you could also join the project. That would allow you to maintain your scripts in version controlled environment and get a bunch of testers on development version of gimp.

The scripts are under a GPL2 license now and I also modified the headers following the Foundry guidelines.
I am definitely not afraid of SVN and I'd be very happy to join the project. I'm going to send a request very soon.
