If we had a nickel for every character we had named Maroon, we'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. At least they are in different fandoms (the other Maroon is a Pokemon trainer OC we made a while ago whose story is just now becoming incredibly complicated because oh boy ideas). Anyways, this was an adopt we got a while ago that we made a fullbody base ref for! She's a ghost too, because why not.

Name: Maroon

Gender: Unknown, but many assume either female or female aligned, and many older Skywings tend to agree

Pronouns: It/its or she/her

Sexuality: Also unknown, but many older Skywings say she was aroace

Occupation: Former prisoner of Scarlet's, she died during her inevitable battle with Peril. Occupation beforehand is unknown

Backstory: Maroon was highly respected by the other Skywings. Before Scarlet came into power, Maroon lived a mostly normal life. But when Scarlet won the battle for the Skywing throne and immediately started executing those who didn't want to follow her, Maroon kept low, not mentioning any disliking of the new queen. However, the building of the arena irked the Skywing too much, making Maroon one of the first prisoners on the newly constructed sky pillers.

Not much else is known about Maroon, other than the many victories before the inevitable doom that was Peril. Now, Maroon's ghost is occasionally seen at the end of halls, its blank eyes staring into the distance. Sometimes, it seems to look at the tapestries on the walls, other times, the arena now turned into a hospital. Many say Maroon's spirit still wanders because it feels it has been betrayed or wrongly imprisoned. Others say Maroon had a hatchling that was never given a chance at a proper farewell.

Maroon's ghost is rarely seen clearly, though some see it flying high in the sky, and some claim to hear a wailing sound come from the ghost during these flights, almost as if mourning. What the true reason for Maroon's ghost never leaving is, nobody knows.
