UPDATE: Unfortunately I no longer wish to draw Lion King style art, in-part due to some nasty elements of the fandom. However instead of hiding or deleting my art, I chose to keep it up, so at least people can still view it. If you are interested in my latest artwork you can find some below; just please note if you watch me, I will not be drawing TLK any more.

I love the new Lion Guard series and I love Fuli's character! I can understand the criticism behind her design but hey! It's a kid's show C: However this does make it hard to draw her with the normal TLK cast. Everyone else can get away with it but Fuli just looks really odd next to say, TLK1 Nala!
I see so many redesigns but they end up being so drastic they end up looking like a generic cheetah and not Fuli anymore; so I did a redesign of my own; an (adult) Fuli! Hopefully She still looks like herself, but fits into TLK and looks like a king cheetah!

Hnm perhaps my favorite Fuli redesign so far. I like that she looks just like herself and sort of stays as the same character, the only difference being more realistic proportions, tweaked colors and more realistic king cheetah markings. Good job in this one!

Beautiful redesign! love it! What bugs me most about the designs in general is the fact that almost no other character besides the lions have pupils. They look so strange to me. IΒ΄ll never like the designs completely since only the lions look like they belong to TLK universe, butΒ itΒ΄s a preschool kids show after all and they look good for what they are made for. But those eyes creep me out xD

I must confess, as someone who personally adores Fuli in every way possible, I normally get very angry when I see people complaining about her design and give her a redesign because they hate it so much. It's even to the point where if I see someone draw her really well in her original design, but complain in their comments about it, I refuse to favorite or comment on the piece.
But this?
Your take on a redesign for this character is one I can actually appreciate. She still looks like Fuli, and not only that but she looks gorgeous. I keep scrolling up to look at it as I type this comment.

Ah thank you very much! I really like Fuli as a character.Β While I was searching about I came across so many redesigns that looked cool for an OC but just didn't look like Fuli at all. It was frustrating because I kept looking the Simba and Nala and now they were different but obliviously the same character and wondering why people were trying to make her fit into TLK but not using the same idea, ie keeping her recognisable but fixing her so she looks like a cheetah. It was only after I tried drawing her with my adult Kion design that I realised she needed a bit of a makeover to fit next to him.

Makucha is the next victim of weird designs, his marks are just as confusing as Fuli's...
But then again, Disney's been making weird cat designs way long before TLG. Sabor from Tarzan actually looks more like saber tooth tiger, if you ask me.

if they ever made adult versions of the lion guard your version of fuli as an adult looks very spot on (no pun intended) she looks fast feirce and amazing!
