Hi there ! Ach, germanskij Zootopitskij verdammtskij...  

Here is a 'small' spoiler of how it will all end for our heroic duo. So bitte... genieben sie:



Curtains for two


Having served a long and a loyal career in the force, our duo still lived a happy life as extremely close friends and would have settled down with a family of many laughing cubs long ago if they would have been... compatible species. Despite of occasional feelings of longing, melancholy and sadness that this and those who vocally disapproved their lifestyle caused to them, they had lived together for many wonderful years that were not without intimate closeness and those special, tenderest of moments where primal needs and urges find their sweet fulfillment.

Many a times did they surrender so willingly to each other and to the passions of the night. Balmy dusk embraced and caressed them as they danced each other so deeply and smoothly towards the highest mountain tops and brightest fireworks. Even after all these years they would still sometimes lie laguidly and weary in bed afterwards for hours in each others's embrace, looking quietly into the eyes of the other and exchanging smiles, slow kisses and nose bumps.

"I love you slick scoundrel."

"I know honeybun... i love you more."

Warm summer air from ajar window played with their fur as they succumbed into deep and fulfilling slumber.

Now they were working feverishly on their biggest responsibility yet. A great big tangle of leads in a corruption case, which they already knew would lead much higher than city of Zootopia itself. Today they were going to go into downtown warehouses to meet a promising snitch contact arranged by their colleague in the force who told them that something had scared the paranoid snitch so badly that he was too afraid to use the phone.

After getting to the designated meeting place, there was no one around to be seen. "Well... we are a bit early so lets keep an look out Nick." "Sure Hopsy, keen as a fox." After a while they started to get restless as time of meeting had come and gone, yet no one had showed up. They heard a faint jingle around the corner and moved to investigate but there was nothing there either. "I don't like this." Said Nick as they looked around. "Maybe we should..." A faint metallic click coming from nearby cut his sentence on mid air. They had just enough time to turn to the direction of sound as loud "Now!" echoed in the air. Shout was immediately followed by a deafening barrage of several assault rifles aimed straight to Nick and Judy. They writhed as bullets struck and riddled their bodies mercilessly and then it was over as soon as it had started.

They were too honest for their world that had now repelled them.

After she recovers from the initial shock, her first thought is Nick. He is quiet and does not respond to her calls and touches. Slowly realizing the horror of what has happened and that this meeting was arranged by their own colleague, she drags her bleeding, maimed self beside Nick's motionless body. "So this is it..." she thinks while holding his cold, lifeless arm... "this is how it all ends... A final reward for all those years of service, honesty and integrity... "

Her broken heart felt worse than burning gunshot wounds.

Lyrics of this song make a perfect backround setting of Judy's last thoughts as it takes these few minutes for her to die. During them she recalls many of their common joys, painful sorrows and fights, her loved ones and friends long gone. Her childhood home...and parents... that once were. "I never realized how sick the city had become... i had no idea how corrupt... even our own department... they knew they couldn't buy us... *gasp*... they didn't even try so... *gasp*... they just killed us... in cold blood... aiigh... it hurts so much... gaah... *scrool*... Oh Nick...my love..." *scroool*... While wheezing helplessly and gasping for breath, she let the tears run their course, there was no way nor need of stopping them anymore.

As blood from their wounds pools slowly into the same puddle, Judy's head and eyelids are getting heavy... pain slowly vanishes... her breathing ceases.

Her last thought is how they can now finally be together and one without the limitations of biology, breed and prejudice. Just like they both always wanted to be but this existence never truly allowed them to.

In the last frame... she is already with him.

Thunder cracks in a distance as wailing and weeping violins cry out their sad, lingering tune in legato............. pianissimo.............


Finally only inconsolable silence remains there with the two quiet, mauled beings huddled together in immobile gloom.
