Yes Rainbow Dash is awesome. She maybe the fastest pony in all of Equestria....But she's not the fastest thing alive..XD

You know Sonic isn't only faster than Rainbow Dash, he's also STRONGER than Rainbow Dash, want proof? Sonic can easily destroy robots by smashing or jumping into/onto them, while Rainbow Dash fails to stop a wooden pillar from smashing her into the ground

I'm a very good fan of both characters but im going with Sonic all the way, people say that the Sonic Rainboom is mach 5-10, when its not even proven in the show, I honestly think it would be mach 1-2 that she's flying, but Sonic has broken the sound barrier much, much easier than Rainbow.

I would say the results depend on which Sonic you use. Again, it has been stated that Dash can move at a max of Mach 10 with the Rainboom, but Sonic goes anywhere from just over the sound barrier to near light speed. For example, if you take the Archie comics, not really canon but as an example, when Knothole got destroyed Sonic crossed the equivalent of half the continental US in under 10 seconds. Most regular forms would still win even if from sheer endurance and not top speed. In the games, his super form is often stated to near light speed. Even if you take his slowest universe, Sonic's super form easily dominates.

ACTUALLY Sonic CD proves you wrong (Sonic fanboy time, oh boy :C, please keep in mind I like both things almost equally, Sonic played part of my childhood ^-^)
In Sonic CD, if you run for a certain amount of time (No Super Form! Normal form to achieve this), you not only break the light barrier, but the time barrier too, so yeah, that even makes him even faster than the Flash...
