Description
18g Nickelsilver, all done with a jeweler's saw. The chain is a stainless steel dog chain that was originally significantly longer but I cut it down to size. Not quite sure what the actual keychain end is.The thing isn't polished yet, but it is more or less filed to perfection. I don't have a drill, so if you look closely you can see where I cut into the bael to empty it out, I'm actually sort've proud that worked so well when I expected it to go horribly. It's MOSTLY sanded well enough, but could certainly use some time with a powered polishing machine. Sadly, I don't have one to get my hands on, nor do I have a polisher with steel shot and burnishing fluid. Ahh well, priorities...
This is eventually going to go on the end of a Keyblade I intend to make for my girlfriend's little sister, who is aptly nicknamed Roxas (But I sure as hell wasn't going to try making an Oblivion Keyblade).

Nearly two years without a new comment on it, and now within a month two people desperately ask for one!
Honestly, it's not hard to make. The metal is thin nickel, about 18 gauge by the American scale. All it used was a jeweler's saw (Easy to find off Amazon, EBay, etc), some blades, jeweler's files (Or just a flat out normal metal file), and a drill for the actual hole. Practice makes perfect, and youtube is covered in tutorial videos nowadays for how to cut metal and what not.
A little practice and you'd be able to make whatever you needed in terms of charms and what not for all your cosplay needs!
That said, I don't have the stuff to make it anymore, and I'm not quite clear on the legality of my making one to sell anyhow since it's a Mickey Mouse Keychain (Copyrighted) from Kingdom Hearts (Also Copyrighted) and at the point I sell it, I've therefore broken two copyrights.

Dude I need this. I made a replica of King Mickey's keyblade (kingdom key D) and that's the only part I don't have so.... Do you think it's possible I can get one from you? I would be deeply grateful.

I unfortunately lack the materials and tools. Haven't made anything new since last year and that was all chainmaille. Honestly, though, it's a really simple thing to make if you want to hunt around Dev for an active metalworker who does fretwork, or if you're interested, you can try to find someplace that sells a jeweler's saw (Usually around $20), some sawblades (Around another $10 for a full bundle if I remember correctly), and some plate metal. NickelSilver (AKA, nickel), if you want to have the color, but copper is good to practice on. Files also help, but aren't really necessary if you get a smooth enough cut and they're expensive if you just want to do it as a one-off project.
Probably a total starting investment of around $40-60 dollars, but it's a good easy skill to learn if you follow some youtube tutorials on basic cutting, and gives you a lot of options for working in the future.
Also helps to have a dremel or small metal-cutting drill of some sort, sand paper, bee's wax or some other sort of lube for the blades, and a... Thing I can't remember the name of. Made of cheap but sturdy wood, clamps to a table, with a hole in the middle. Basically just something to cut on so you won't cut into your table or whatever you're working on.

Well I'll figure something out. But if there's anything you can do to help me go ahead and do it. You don't have to though.

A good question. I technically have the tools, just not the work space. Overall it wasn't a very hard project, but I'm not sure how well I could do it again at this point in time. I also don't have another dog chain that size on hand, though...
I'd probably sell it for like $15, but I'd also work on it a lot harder. That one was particularly shoddy, and was just me trying to make peace with my girlfriend at the time's younger sister.

I think it looks quite awesome!
Well if you're up for making one again, then message me lol
I'm a giant fan of KH, so having something like the chain would be super cool

It's called magic. Also known as 'Buying a dog chain to attach to the pendant.'

Oh, in hindsight, I thought I used a different chain for that.
The one there was a jewelry piece I bought whole. I just used the two smaller steel jumprings to attach it to the chain there.

lol, actually, I happened to see something that I could use as the clip in a store, after I posted that. I found it in the yarn and stuff section at a Michael's, but I didn't buy it then. At least I know where to get it now!

It's actually a little off, in that annoying way that only the person who made it will ever notice the full extent of.
