Hecc can't believe I actually made it to round 4. I know this is way more rushed than my previous refrences but this one is way overdue.Injury status:
- Still has a missing tooth, a scar on his paw and a kinked tail from r2
- he had some scrapes and a cut on his forehead immediately after r3 but they managed to heal up before r4
- his 'cape' has a pretty sizable cut in it and while its not getting in the way much he's very unhappy about it. It is flesh tho so it will hurt if touched.
-the cut in his side was deeper so it will take more time to heal up. It was bandaged up during time in between rounds but he took the bandage off for r4 since bandages make it harder for him to camouflage. It won't give him major problems unless it reopens but it still hurts.
- his neck had bruises on it immediately after r3. They healed up by now, but generally after his experience in r3 he'll try to avoid people touching his neck and will physically recoil if someone manages to do so.
-His leg is broken.
- ever since r3 he's been suffering from mysterious headaches. (more info below)

Name: Sphinx
Alias/Nickname: Brighteyes (though prefers to just be called by name. He's nicknamed after the pattern on the underside of his "cape")
Species: Mimoselt
Not much is known about the species. Their soft fur and beautiful feathers caused them to be heavily hunted by more fashonable races. The species was believed to be extinct...yet here's Sphinx.
Age: 13 (he's still a juvenile)
Height/Weight: 20 inches when standing on all fours, 10 pounds
Gender: Male
Reason for entering: Sphinx has been hunted for his entire life and driven away from every place he called home. He still believes strongly that immortality will solve all his problems, but at this point it's not clear if he isn't just making himself believe that to keep himself going.
Strengths:
-Master of camouflage: Sphinx's natural colour changing ability makes him incredibly hard to spot.
-Gecko-like feet: Sphinx can freely moove on vertical walls and even upside down. This works even on slippery surfaces like glass.
-sap-like saliva: Like glue it hardens when exposed to air. it can be used to temporarily stick small wounds shut and stop bleeding. It also helps keep whatever he's holding in his mouth in place.
-Thief background: He knows how to take things from others without them noticing. Not always suceeds but has experience.
-Creative thinker: While not particularly strong Sphinx often finds ways to use his enviroment in his favor when in a fight.
- Flexible body: being simmilar in physiology to both weasels and lizards he can usually wiggle his way out of harm's way.
-hightened senses: Being a wild animal Sphinx has more accute hearing and sense of smell than a human. After opponents managing to sneak up on him without him noticing both in R1 and R2 , he pays extra attention to listening to his surroundings now so it won't work as well against him anymore.
Abilities:
Natural camouflage: Sphinx can change colour to mimic his surroundings at will. During winter his default pelt changes to pure white. While he can change the colour of his pelt to blend into any background it doesen't mask his scent or sound.
Friend of bugs: Sphinx's "spines" and markings let out a soothing glow that calms insects and makes then drowsy. In nature this helps mimoselts collect honey and honeycombs from beehives, which is a huge part of their diet.
-The only weapon Sphinx has are his teeth. His chomp is comparable to about that of a dog his size and is generally more effective for hunting small vertebrates and not fighting creatures bigger than himself.
Weaknesses:
-Fragile: being a small, young creature Sphinx is rather easy to hurt.
-Weak physically: You won't see him lifting anything heavy with his bare arms.
-Getting covered in water is dangerous for him: Sphinx can't swim in the slightest. He sinks like a boulder. Even worse his dense fur becomes incredibly waterlogged and heavy. It may even cause hypothermia. Mimoselts clean themselves with sand baths.
-Cleptomaniac: More often than not Sphinx can't sop himself from trying to take something particularly pretty or particularly tasty even if he knows it may put him in mortal danger. Even worse it can distract him from more important tasks.
-relatively slow: While not turtle levels of slow, Sphinx's short legs make him pretty easy to outrun.
-Low stamina: Running will make him incredibly exhausted fast.
-fear of loud noises: Sudden loud sounds will often make him jump or flinch, even when he's expecting them. Moreover, when a mimoselt gets scared it subcontiously bristles it's "quills" causing them to glow. Loud bangs or crashes are the go-to way to break his camouflage.
-low pain tolerance: one good hit on him and he's down. After sustaining way more injuries than he probably ever did in his life before during rounds 2-3 he built up enough of a pain tolerance to force himself to keep going even if injured. This is no longer a weakness.
-small sized: Very small, easy to hold down, easy to pick up, would probably die if you stepped on him too hard.
-hightened senses: it's a double edged sword. He's more sensitive to bad smells and high-pitched noises
-injured leg: Sphinx's leg is now fully broken. He needs to wear a splint and since his leg needs to be kept stiff, and he's not used to it he has some trouble keeping his balance.. This obviously makes any running or climbing harder for him and trying to make long jumps may end with a face-first landing. Overall not a good time. It also slows him down and is an obvious weak point.
-Headaches: Ever since r3 he's been suffering from mysterious headaches. Normally they can just kinda appear at random, and aren't very strong (kinda like the headache you'd have from undersleeping) but can throw off his concentration slightly. The headaches get worse the more stress or strong emotions he's experiencing and at worst can escalate to serious migraines, blurry vision, vertigo and generally not a good time.
Personality: Mischievious and playful. Sphinx loves to play pranks on others, mess with them and tease them (if he's out of their reach of course). Sometimes gets a bit to cocky if he feels like he has the upper hand and ends up putting himself in danger. Inside he does have a heart of gold and, while it's pretty hard to gain his trust, he treasures his few friendships more than his life and is very loyal and caring to those close to him. While outwardly he still jokes and tries to keep his seemingly upbeat, happy-go-lucky attitude, after round 3 he has a lot of fears, insecurities, and bottled up emotions inside, but chooses to hide them from others, to a pretty succesful degree. When in a seemingly hopeless or serious situation he might drop it however and act more serious, panic, or snap at people. He is also way more weary of his opponents, and may act kinda paranoid around them. His trust issues worsened greatly. He will no longer try to reason or make deals with his opponents unless trying to trick them and will take on a more competitive approach. Will still be reluctant to actually harm his opponents though.
History:
Sphinx's first years of life were rather peaceful. He lived in a dense forest with his mother and spent his days exploring and looking for pretty beetles. This all changed when the area was discovered by hunters who took a liking to the soft pelts of the mimoselts. The creatures were mercilessly hunted down and Sphinx got separated from his family while running away and fell into a stream that carried him far from his home.
He roamed around for a long time, never able to settle in one place for too long as the moment someone found out a rare creature with expensive fur lived nearby he'd have groups of hunters after him again. He had no time to hunt or scavange and grew thiner and hungrier every day. Eventually he started to sneak into towns and villages, hiding in the allyways and stealing food.
The young mimoselt travelled constantly. Always mooving. Always on the run. Eventuallly he came across the Labirynth.
Likes: Honey, insects and arachnids of all types (as pets, not as food) , music, puzzles, pranks, bad puns, shiny stuff, Stone, Kelso, Oxalide, Forte, Ritzy.
Dislikes: Water, Fur clothing and taxidermy animals (he is absolutely terrified of those), loud noises, dogs, crows and corvids(they greatly unsettle him), his neck being touched, Man Project, Mr Roboto (less so dislikes, more so is terrified for his life when he's nearby) .
Other:
-when he's asleep his "third eye" always stays open.
-the glowing ring markings on the underside of his "cape" look like eyes of a large creatures in the dark and are meant to scare off predators.
- if you kill a bug he'll cry.
-loves music. Always wanted to play the flute but he can't as his saliva clogs up the instrument. He'll still often humm his favourite tunes and loves to sing.
-His fur is incredibly soft and dense like that of a chinchilla.
-You can tell he's still young by the fact the dark quill-like feathers on his back aren't covering his entire "cape" yet.
-omnivore
-while mimoselts do eat grubs and worms in nature they see insects, arachnids and all the creepy crawlies as pet animals and don't hunt them unless absolutely necessary. (the same way you'd eat a chicken but not a dog)
