   It was pouring outside. Joshua always loved the rain,but his parents wouldn't let him outside when it poured like this,but it was the best kind of weather, in his opinion.

  On this rainy day, however, his parents were out and he was so excited to run outside and play around,but he didn't want to do it alone. He pulled on his brother's sleeve, who was occupied with a rather large and boring looking book.

  "Alex..."

  "What, Josh? I'm busy...I need to finish this before Monday."

  "But Alex...I wanna play..."

   "Josh, I can't...I have to..."

   Josh pouted out his lips in a way that made his brother fulfill any request he gave him. "Please..."

  Alex rolled his eyes. "Fine!"

  Alex soon felt like a little kid again as he played with Joshua in the rain. Swinging his brother around and crashing into the mud. It was so much fun. He didn't mind that his clothes were soaked through or that his face was covered in the wet earth, it was like heaven. Just himself and Joshua having fun. Giggles and squeals could be heard through the rain.

  "I don't feel so good." Josh said coughing slightly. The two brothers had already come in, washed up, and changed into their pajamas.

  Alex put a hand on his brother's forehead. "You're burning up...." Josh's face was flushed. At that moment, he got into a coughing fit and their parents entered the front door.

   "Oh no! Josh." Alex's mother rammed him out of the way and tended to her younger child.

    "What the hell, Alex? Didn't your mother and I tell you NOT to take your brother outside in this weather?"

   "I KNOW,but....." Alex could see the anger boiling in his father's eyes. "Yes sir, sorry sir, it won't happen again sir."

   "Go to your room." Alex's mother pointed towards the stairs. He obliged. He wasn't in the mood for a fight, especially not with Josh sick like this.

  Alex fell asleep on the floor because it was cooler. He to, was burning up,but knew his parents would ignore him or tell him to deal with it if he bothered them. He was huffing and puffing when he heard the door open.

  "Alex?" a little sickly voice whispered.

   "Hunh?" he answered.

    He could hear light footsteps as the smaller boy approached him and laid a light kiss on his nose. "Thank you for playing with me today." He smiled through the darkness.

  "No problem..." Alex answered in a kind voice.

   Josh laid down next to his brother on the floor and they both fell into a beautiful, deep sleep.
