   "I am...so...sorry." Elle said softly. "Please, forgive me, I jumped to conclusions and...I...."

   "Don't worry. It is okay. I think I might have acted the same." Alex lied. He still felt hurt,but was glad it was sincere.

   A quick embrace and a 'See you later' and they were off on their separate ways.

  Everything seemed to be looking up. Alex was kind of dreading his father's return in a week,but he had to face him sooner or later. He would rather have it be sooner. Everything was falling into place...until Alex found IT.

  It all started when Alex brought his things down from the attic. He found old toys, magazines, journals, homework, and other embarrassing things he'd rather not mention. While stuffing some boxes under the bunk bed, he noticed a small black box, not much bigger then a notebook. He pulled it out.

  Horror flooded Alex's mind as he opened the box. There were...demented drawings in it, what looked like suicide notes, and a large, broken shard of glass. The sharp tip of it was discolored...it had a red tint to it.

  "Oh God!" Alex realized....everything was Josh's...even the piece of glass. Alex dropped everything on the floor. He covered his mouth in disbelief.

  "Hey, Alex...." Josh stopped in his tracks when he realized what Alex found. "Alex...I..."

   Alex hadn't thought of it,but why was Josh always wearing hoodies? Even when it was over 80 degrees. In one swift movement, Alex grabbed Josh's arm and pulled up his left sleeve...scars. Scars all up his arm. To the point it looked almost disfigured. Why? Why did Josh do this to himself? How could Alex help him?
