   It was like someone had lifted a two ton building off of the Shepherd's household. Everyone, even Adam, seemed to have a spring in their step.

  Alex was reading a book quietly, his father at work, his mother working in the garden, and Josh off in his room playing on his laptop. It was nice and quiet....so calm. Then Alex's mind went haywire. He started seeing images of Elle...why Elle? She was being beaten...and torn apart, over and over....hideous monsters ripping and beating her....destroying her....devouring her. Oh the sight was horrid and wouldn't leave Alex's mind...he screamed out in protest.

  "NO!!!STOP! PLEASE!!!!STOP!" He fell to the ground screaming and crying. His body shaking uncontrollably.

  The noise of Josh's feet rushing, nearly falling, down the stairs and his mother slamming the door open was almost as loud as his screaming.

   "Alex! ALEX!" Josh yelled, trying to snap his brother back into consciousness, while his mother tried to hold him down to keep him still.

   His screaming began to grow lower and his body stopped shaking. He sat up and looked to his mother and then his brother. "Oh God...." he covered his face in embarrassment. "Why???" he cried. His mother wrapped her arm's around her quivering son. Josh joined in the embrace.

  "Shhh...." Josh uttered in a kind voice, before his mother could."Don't worry...it'll be okay."
