   They had met up again on Horizon. It had taken a lot of convincing, but Commander Shepard had indeed convinced Kaidan to join them. She honestly couldn't blame him for being skeptical...hell she didn't trust Cerberus herself, but she needed the strongest and most skilled people possible. Not to mention, she could trust him.

  "Look, Commander...do you really think its safe? Randomly picking up these people just because the Illusive Man says so?" Kaidan spoke to Shepard with a slight uneasy tone to his voice. He kept himself secluded from everyone else by staying in the hangar. Apparently his migraines had become progressively worse, especially around a lot of people.

   "Aw come on Kaidan, it isn't that bad. Hell, it worked last time."

   "Last time we were on a ship with people we could trust."

   "Relax, okay? There are some familiar faces, besides...we'll need all the help we can get." And she left without another word.

   Kaidan had a terrible feeling in his gut as soon as they entered Purgatory. Just the name made his spine tingle in a bad way. It was like some type of impending doom. It came as no surprise to him when the guards turned on them. But what did surprise him was Jack. First of all he didn't expect a she and second...something about her...she gave off an odd aura. Something about her he couldn't quite figure out and before he knew it she was bitching at him for staring.

  "What are ya looking at, bitch?" She bared her teeth at him, but apparently shooting her a look (which Kaidan did) was not expected as she looked slightly take aback.

  "Okay, enough with the chitchatting. This place is coming DOWN RIGHT NOW. If you wanna live to kill another person or get that information on Cerberus, you better join up with us. Unless you're prepared to die." Shepard has a slight smirk on her dark lips and a light glint in her indigo eyes.

  "Fuck...fine." Jack rolled her eyes and followed Kaidan, Miranda, and Commander Shepard onto the Normandy before Purgatory completely crumbled into nothing but scrap metal.
