James' heart nearly stopped. This woman.....she looked so much like Mary. Her face and voice, so familiar. James couldn't fight the urge to call out his dead wife's name."M-mary?"
"No! And who are you, by the way?" The woman seemed to snap back instantly, so quick and loud it made James jump a little. It felt like she had punched him in the gut.
"I-I'm James..."
"Well, JAMES, I'm not this 'Mary' woman. I'm Maria." She approached him. As she moved closer, he realized she looked rather...slutty.
"I'm sorry, it is just...you look a lot like her..."
"Who is she?"
"My late wife..." he looked down as the words escaped his lips.
"Is this a normal occurrence for you, finding woman who look like your dead wife?" There was a slight annoyance in her voice.
"N-no...look, I'm sorry...really. I'll just be on my way." James went to turn around,but Maria spoke.
"Y'know....it is a shame....that she passed." She approached him from behind and embraced him lightly. "You seem like a nice guy."
James spun around quickly. "I...." she put one finger over his lips.
"Shhh...." the stranger leaned in and kissed the man.
"Wha..."
"Come on!" She grabbed his hand and started running in a random direction. "Let's go have fun..."
"O-okay."
