Description
      The foursome trotted through the empty streets, their focus getting to a new safe house. In fact, that was all they ever did. There was no goal city, state, or town. They were just trying to survive. The government wasn't going to help them. They would just bomb everything to hell. And they knew it. At least most of them, Ellis still wanted to believe there was some hope. And it ticked Nick off to no end. He didn't feel like dealing with any of them in the first place, but Ellis in particular was aggravating to him. 'Why was he so damn happy?'  Nick thought, but the conman kept to himself, and the only one speaking at all was Ellis, because the others will still in shock. They realized there was no help for them. And finally, Nick snapped when he heard a few words escape Ellis's lips.

      "We gonna be okay...we gonna be safe...they'll find us...." Before the youngest of the group could complete his sentence, he was grabbed by the conman. The older man shook him violently.

      "WOULD YOU SHUT UP, YOU DUMBFUCK? DON'T YOU GET IT? WE DON'T MATTER. WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE. IF THE ZOMBIES DON'T KILL US, THE GOVERNMENT WILL. AND YOUR FUCKING BUDDIES? THEY'RE MOST LIKELY ZOMBIES BY NOW!" Nick shook him more, causing his hat to fall to the dusty ground.

      "NICK! That's enough..." Rochelle shouted.

      "NO! HIS DUMB ASS DOESN'T SEEM TO...." Ellis pushed away from the angered man.

      "I know...they's gone....I did et..." He looked down." I find them....they was turned...I..." His eyes showed so much fear and guilt, but they quickly lit back up. "Lookit der...safe house!" He pointed forward and slightly to the left. It was indeed a safe house. A rather large one, as well. He ran ahead, most likely hiding his tears.

        It was large enough for each survivor to have his or her own room, but two would stay on guard while the others slept. It just so happened to be Ellis and Nick's turn to stand guard while Rochelle and Coach slept when 'IT' happened.

      Ellis was sitting, with his legs folded, in a rather large chair, clenching his machete to his chest. The group had long since run out of bullets, and there had been no guns or ammunition in the last half dozen safe houses. So, each was left with some blunt or sharp object. Nick paced while tapping his bat to his shoulder.

     "Hey, Ellis...I..." He looked at the younger man who hadn't said much since he exploded at him. Nick hadn't meant to break his spirits, but it seemed he had done just that. The conman stopped speaking and clenched his ringed fingers into a fist.

     "W-wha?" He uttered, but soon was cut off as the door to the safe house was easily broken down. Men in suits began running in and Nick signaled for the mechanic to run. And so he did.

       Nick dropped his bat and raised his hands in the air. 'This is it...' He thought 'we're finished.' Rochelle was dragged out of her bed in nothing but her underwear and bra, she was kicking and screaming, but was quickly silenced when one of the soldiers banged her across the face.

     "SHUT UP...ALL OF YOU...ON YOUR KNEES NOW!" Coach was also pulled out by about five men. He looked so tired, and didn't even fight. Maybe like Nick, he thought it was time to give up. All of them on their knees, three out of the fifteen soldiers ran the same path Ellis had moments earlier.

     They grabbed for the youngest of the group, but he kept running. That was until he was backing in a corner. His boots screeched against the shiny kitchen floors. His eyes full of complete and utter horror. He resembled a small, infant animal. Quivering uncontrolably, his expression almost seemed inhuman ,when one of the men got a good grip on him, he bit their arm. He was quickly banged in the head, and soon everything became fuzzy.
