       Alex and Elle made their way to the cop car Elle had acquired while Alex was busy finishing off that...thing. Wheeler was wheezing in th back seat. It was a miracle he was alive with all the stabs and burns. Elle was the only one completely unharmed, at least physically. And Alex's adrenaline rush had run out and he was basically running on empty. He just wanted to sleep, but the pain from that drill in his leg was preventing him from even being comfortable. Alex sat in the passenger seat, huffing and puffing. Elle jumped into the driver's seat, instantly starting the vehicle.

       "I'll take you guys to the nearest hospital, okay?" Elle tried her best to reassure the men's safety.

        "Y-yeah..." was all Wheeler could cough out.

         "W-what...are we supposed to tell them?" Alex leaned forward and gripped onto his leg. Wheeler and his injuries were odd...he might be able to blame his on some type of construction accident, but Wheeler's were pure torture.

           "I dunno, I'll think of something..." Elle smiled weakly. "Just rest...."

         Alex turned to face the road as they took off driving. He removed his jacket and dog tags. He knew he was no soldier. He was a killer...a murderer. Not only did Josh die because of them, but he knowingly killed Judge Holloway and Curtis. He saw the light leave their eyes. He CAUSED it. Folding up his legs has best he could and pulling them to his chest, Alex sobbed silently, but looked away from Elle. She didn't notice. He had also watched both his parents die and did nothing to help.  Everything....it was all his fault. So why was he allowed to live? Was this his punishment? At least he wasn't totally alone.


           Elle was driving like a mad man to get to the hospital. It seemed like only mere moments passed to the point they pulled into the emergency driveway.

          "HELP! PLEASE...HELP!" Elle ran out of the car, screaming to the nurses and other workers. Alex could barely move his leg and Wheeler couldn't be moved without immense pain going through his body.

         Alex was wheeled into the hospital by a caring nurse named Maria while Wheeler was put onto a stretcher.

        While the men were being situated in their appropriate rooms (Wheeler was already in surgery, his injuries were more serious) the kind nurse Maria approached Elle. She had just given Wheeler and Alex's information to the main nurse attendant.

         "What happened, sweetie? Are you okay?" She laid a gentle hand on Elle.

          "T-they...were attacked...by some gang or something...." Elle knew it was a shaky story,but she couldn't tell them the truth.

         "BACK THE FUCK OFF!!!!!" Alex screamed from his room. Elle instinctively ran to his voice.

         "WAIT, MISS HOLLOWAY..." Maria ran, grabbing her.

         Alex was backed against the corner of the wall, fear prominent in his dark eyes as two larger men in white, orderlies, approached him. His injured leg was shaking under the weight of his body, blood dripping down it. One had a needle in his hand.

           "WHAT THE HELL?" Maria grabbed Elle out of the room and slammed the door behind them before she could get her answer.

          "WHAT WAS THAT?" Elle pushed her away.

          "Please, listen...he has a record....not of being to violent,but...his mental state is very unstable. They need to medicate him right away and then treat him. See...he's fine now..." She pointed towards the glass opening on the rooms door. Alex was laying, practically dead looking, now. "He's fine....you should get some rest."

          Elle looked dumbfounded, but decided to sit down in the lobby. What the hell had happened to Alex? Wasn't he in the military? So...what really happened?
