   Alex loaded into the cop car after he had helped Elle and get Wheeler in. Elle kept talking to Wheeler as she drove to keep him from drifting off...or passing away. She was overly loud, but Alex paid no mind. In fact, his mind was a complete blank slate. He wasn't even clutching onto his in juried leg. He just gazed out the window.

   "AGHUHN..." Wheeler screamed from the back. His injuries...he wouldn't hold out until they got to the nearest hospital, which was a town and a few long roads over. Of course, Doctor Fitch was dead, so they couldn't use the one in their own town.

   "We've gotta stop..." Elle said frantically. Alex turned towards her and spoke the first words he had since they began driving.

     "We can stop at my house. It's close...and I know we have a lot of medical supplies. He was always paranoid about people getting hurt." She nodded without another word.

      Wheeler laid on the living room couch, his eyes closed tight, but his breathing steady. Elle had managed to fix him up a little, along with Alex's leg, but the wrapping on his drill wound looked rather crude wrapped around his jean leg. He limped slightly, but it didn't seem to bother him.

      Elle was fumbling around in the bathroom, taking out some painkillers from behind the mirror. "A bath would be nice..." She thought. And with that thought, she began to undress and started the tub water.

      Alex sat on his top bunk memories and feelings flashing through him, but his face remained blank. Then he heard him. Joshua.

     "Do it, Alex...for me. Do these things for me...and we can be happy again...please, Alex?" He heard the pleading voice play over and over in his head. He sat up and hopped off of the top bunk carelessly, for the wound in his leg wasn't even completely noticeable to him. He walked slowly, into the familiar bathroom.

    "Alex...! Uh...should have told you, I guess..." Elle still had her underwear and bra on, but that was it. "Um..." He just stood in the doorway, staring at her. Not sexual or an embarrassed stare, it was...empty. He moved closer, with his right arm behind his back.

     "Elle..." He said coldly. Her name rolled off of his tongue sweetly, passing through his thin and beautiful lips, but there was something cold and almost cruel of how he said it.

       "Uh...Alex what..." Before she could even think of something to say, she was lunged at. The knife plunged through her throat first, and then was dragged down as she tried to gasp out. The blood poured out plentifully. Grabbing and trying anything to run she fell forward onto him. He simply stared down at her as she struggled. She then slipped in her own blood, falling back into the tub that was still filling with water.

   As he walked out of the room the same way he had entered, blood covered the floor, and the still running water of the faucet overflowed with Elle's blood turning it crimson. The red waters intermingled with the deep dark pool already positioned next to the bathtub. With her last few moments of life, Elle looked up at her killer and barely coughed out a single phrase.

     "W-why...?"

     A light smile took over Alex's face as his gaze fell onto the mess on the floor, but even though his eyes were focused, it was as if he was looking at something or someone else. Someone much smaller then him. "For him..." Alex's voice sounded so young and full of complete euphoria. He turned around without taking another look at her.

   Elle simply fell into a dreamless sleep which would never end. She was dead. And Alex had killed her.
