Description
My version of Scarecrow is sort of a tribute to one of My favorite artists, "Ghastly" Graham Ingels who drew for the notorious EC line of horror comics from the 1950s, "Tales From the Crypt", "Haunt of Fear" & "Vault of Horror"!Here in San Francisco, there's a small art gallery completely devoted to comics & animation. I went there one time when they had an exhibition of Ingels' work. It was mind-blowing seeing some of his original pages for those stories & really seeing the wealth of texture & detail he put in his art! I think every zombie movie & TV show over the past 40+ years owes him (& many of the other EC artists) a debt of gratitude!
Graham Ingels never drew Batman (so far as I know) but when I draw the Scarecrow, I try to give him a bit of that "Ghastly" feel to him!
