If there's one lesson I can't stress enough, it's learning proper understructure. If you can master 4 basic forms, you can draw anything. Without proper foundation, you are only learning how to copy contours, which results in amorphous anatomy, stiff poses, lack of volume, and the frustration with being able to draw something without photo reference.Related content

I find it difficult to make the character slouch or bend their body in a slouch like way :/

Well, I notice on the dog and cat, you've drawn the red lines over their thigh, shin, and foot.
But on the duck and bird photo, there's only red lines on the foot and shin.
