Wow! That's tremendously interesting, with the wasp in color and the nest and larvae in B&W. 5 bracket? How do you blend that? In the same way that you do the exposure blending a la the video?

Merge to HDR (CS2 and CS3 - sorry hon) was one way I do it.
Another was using Dynamic-Photo HDR [link] Which isn't bad. Can get some truly astounding pieces with as few as 2 exposures.
I haven't tried the blend from the vid (or even watched the whole thing), just found it for those without the latest Photoshop so they could at least have a taste of the good life....in the 21st century.
I'll have to watch it now, I'm compelled to do so. Bah.

Hah! Nice shot! Oof, I guess those of us who have less than CS2 or 3 are still in the 20th century, huh? Oh, well, I can live with that.
I've used the video and it is definitely helpful. What's really interesting is that I've found a way to combine it with some of the other techniques you've shown me and have had real fun with it.
Hee, hee. Now you've gotta watch...

Ok, I've watched it in fast forward, and I do similar things for other applications, but it is an interesting work around for a simulated HDR. Basically all I do is extend my range as I don't have Camera RAW to work with, but bracketing sure goes a long way.
