Description
quickly done progress sheet, heres the proggress, I wil not put tuther detail in youre all clever enough to do teh rest yourself.as you can see its not finished yet and I shall add pics as I go along, and those are sewn to leggings.
and the feet also have padding on which adds to the shape overall.
edit: I forgot to show that I have covered the bottom and edges with fabric so I can sew it on and the foam dose not rip, more on that later.
oh yeh and its very very messy, the foam is such a pain to clean up.

do you not find the foam is stressed round your knees cause of bending, walking etc? It would be awful for the foam to tear inside the fursuit!

well this is an old method...
but you can sew the padding on whilst you are wearing it or make a duct tape dummy to work on.

i dont understand this
i mean...
is that suit going to be in the actual quad suit? if it is, how do you get in an out of it?
also, for a dtd, after you get all the padding on it,what would you do? im hoping t make a quad suit, but i dont understand what you do with the duct tape dummy or clothes, and how youd get the suit on

ah ok...sorry I dont use this method now.
But the idea was you can slip these on and of like pants.
Yes this is my padding for my completed Tenebrae quad from last year.
Ah my method now-
You hot glue the padding to the DTD then sew the bodysuit inside out around it. add lineing if you wish.
(not sewing into padding)
When you ahve finished sewing pull the whole thing off includeing paddign of the DTD leaveing hot glue behind.
Then re insert the padding into the suit then glue or sew it in place and volia.

OMG you are a life saver...
Ok, wondering how? here's the situation
I'm hopefully going to start making a fursuit after my exams are over (I kinda got my plans and such but I don't have enough time what with all the revision and all :l)
anyway I've been reading lots and lots of tutorials and I wasn't really going to bother with digitigrading as it seemed a bit complicated and a couple of tutorials I read on it before confused me on how I was supposed sew things so I decided I wasn't going to bother
but this explains it really well for me and I've decided I'm going to attempt digitigrading the legs as I feel I could do so
thanks man ^^

no problem, also there is a simpler methods which you dont need the leggings, you use the duck tape dummy instead.

How does the thread hold the padding without breaking?
