"I could still hear its distant call in my mind, beckoning me closer. It was far -- I could tell that much -- probably many lightyears from my current position. Though that beautiful, almost mournful song had been repeating in my mind for days now, I didn't get the feeling there was anything malicious behind it. So, when I set off to see what it was, I was fascinated to discover a grand being seemingly woven from a fabric of stars and light that floated serenely through the void of space. I stayed there for almost a week, watching and listening, but mostly wondering: Where were all the rest?"
