Changed landscape and sun settings. Added some trees. Some mist in the background, but I believe the tree on the left is casting a shadow in the snow. It's OK but it goes against the rest of the image. WIP Blender 2.67Related content

Are you using blender or similar? If you cut the spect. down to almost zero it's have gotten rid of the slight foggy glint right to the shed's left and kept the illusion better. That and moving the image up so as the bottom trees aren't cute in half.
If you're using something like blender, try Andrew price's snow scene. It'll add a few aspects that you're missing.

The background is a picture. I think to render such a scene in full 3D would burn my PC to a crisp. I think the odd glare comes from an additional lamp that I have not yet removed. If you look to the left the tree there casts a shadow across the direction I have the sunlight pointed. Thanks for your compliments.

Honestly, other than that glare I probably wouldn't have thought it was a background. It is a really good image indeed. :]
