Description I guess this goes under the "Fashion Design" category... Please don't mind the chibis that show through the top of the page, there--I am still scannerless and working with digital cameras.

This is the sketched design my sister *Couy-Chan and I worked with to create my boyfriend ~ThePhantomNick 's straitjacket for his Beyond Birthday cosplay.

Here's a small collage of the jacket, finished save for the arm straps:

Designed from scratch after looking at photos of various straitjacket designs online. The pattern we used as a base was for a French chef's uniform jacket.

LOL; it cost about $50.00 for the materials and took about two days to make. It's so neat, I kind of want to make myself one, but I doubt psycho Mello to match B would work. XD; Especially since I'm going to be his escort while his hands are restrained!

Soviet Russia in charge of two people in straitjackets...people MAY wonder. XD; But she will probably be in her other outfit the day we are Death Note; when she's Russia I'm Liet to match.

Thanks! It went very smoothly, too, no seam-ripping or anything. Actually, that's a very lucky thing, as we sewed it at Eli's and forgot to bring a seam-ripper. XD;

Your Hobbes costume looks so cute!

Scissors and hand ripping can take the place of any seam ripper >: D
I wish I was kidding.

But cool, I love it when things go together nicely~ : D I actually just finished Hobbsies arm warmers...I love sewing easy things after painful ones ;-;

XD; LOL--before seam rippers, I'm sure that's what everybody did.

Indeed, it's nice when that happens! I hope my new Mello pants go as smoothly... XD;

Why thank you! Haha; *Couy-Chan 's sewing skills are the real reason the actual jacket turned out looking so much like I sketched it.
