Wolf trapping has come under heavy fire from animal rights groups, who allege that unskilled trappers can create unnecessary suffering for the animal involved.

I know some wolf trappers and they are skilled enough to catch wolves in foothold traps without causing injury. In fact, wolves have been relocated and reintroduced to certain areas through use of the foothold trap.

Of course, your whole gallery is beautiful, but as I say, I am a wolf-lover..
I just can't believe that a person can look at a photo like this and want the animal dead. The only hunting that should've ever been allowed was back when humans needed to hunt for meat to eat. :[

I am a wolf supporter. Wolves are one of my most favorite animals. And people do not care what they are ruining in the process...And it it doesn't get any better. I despise Alaska's governor Sarah Palin for this exact reason. She pays any person to go out on an aerial wolf hunt. Aerial gunning is so bad out there at this time of year and I just feel so helpless that all I can do is sit back and hope that this will end one day.

Everything's beautiful about this photo! The lighting, the angle, the wolf itself and even the proud look on it's face. Like it's seeing something you're not. 
Cursed hunters/trappers! Back then if was needed to feed and clothe their families, but then it turned into hatred and eventually into a sport. It makes me sick!!!

Hey have you heard about the aerial gunning of wolves? It's worse than leg traps , and very sadenning. I didn't know about the snares or leg traps. Nice shot tho , I love the way the sun hits the wolf

How is it worse, except by being harder to escape than land-based gunning?

How would you like to be chased for hours by an airplane , then when you finally colaps from exhaustion. You get shot in the hind legs so that your nipping at your wound then finally you get shot in the head. And all of that torture just because what you eat is what the other hunters want to gun down and take for hides and trophies?

People say they want to see more wildlife, but they get mad when natural predators do what they have to to live. They say shoot the wolf so they can see more deer or whatever else, just so hunters can be happy that they can shoot those animals too.. We don't even need hunting anymore the way I see it..
