Part of my theory for living airplanes is that they can stand up like this on their landing gear as well as be in the normal aircraft position.

Well they usually stay in the normal airplane position with all landing out for landing for aerodynamic-ness.
They only go anthro when they're on the ground. :3 Mainly because, if they were to do that when flying, the speed they'd be going at would rip them apart. D:
