No, it is a significantly smaller yield than a true nuke would be. What Prime throws are likely the smaller explosives that are often used to carpet bomb and area from the air. If you want to see a true nuke, go to Megaton.

Actually, it is an actual nuke in the fallout universe. The Mark 28 Nuclear Bomb are dropped from planes but a modified version of the Mark 28 was used for Liberty Primeβs Nuke Pack. This is confirmed by Proctor Ingram in Fallout 4, when she sends you to Sentinel Site Prescott to locate a stockpile of Mark 28s for Liberty Prime.

He saves the brotherhood soldiers there by sacrificing himself to draw missile fire and shielding those who couldn't escape.
