This is a piece done by request for my friend from WoW. It's her character, Ever, playing checkers with the imp of another friend, who's standing in the background.

I have some issues with this piece, but I like it overall. I'm happiest with her legs and feet. For some reason I think I captured that movement well...I had to get Nick to pose. While it's very cartoony in rendering, I think I got the "feetness" of them down pat. I'm relieved that I've broken away from the absolute idealism that I started out drawing with.

I'm fairly happy with the lighting too. I think the imp's fire could have been a little more...firey and I'm not at all happy with the hem of his robe...so boring! But as that's not the focus of the picture I'll try to forget about it.

Comments and crits appreciated as always, but please keep in mind this is a piece done for someone who would know exactly what the elements mean, and is not meant to be entirely self-explanatory.
