8-9 hours working on it without a break will do that to a person I just got frustrated. this is about 75% done probably

Probably just adding more detail and making the textures more believable. and re-ordering some of the ruins...

what color did you use as a base color? Im trying to analayze your paintings and utilizing what i learned in your tutorial. Do you ustream? livestream?

I started with a medium dark grey blue base and worked in more greens and reds.

I'm still figuring it out myself. seeing forms in 3 dimensions is one thing, the texture is another, then you complicate it with layers of leaves and roots and various bumps and deformities.. they're really complex!

I think the bit of advice that helped me the most with trees is "make it up, because no one will know".
