Description
This is Moth, a childlike folk figure from a project I'm working on. She's not a goddess, more like a Paul Bunyan / Santa Clause character. In the mythology, she causes the leaves to turn colors in fall.It's christmastime, so I thought I should do something pastoral, but I'm still hung up on autumn.

Wow this painting is beautiful. I really love the colors and background in this. I also like the face of this character. Though you say she is childlike, there is something old in that face too. Maybe its the slight smile wrinkles that make her seem older. The fruits and leaves remind me of renaissance still lifes.

I don't know if you intended it, but she looks both young and yet like she's lived for centuries. It's awesome. The palette is fabulous as well.
