Description
This is kind of a departure from my normal technique, but I thought I'd try something different. I used very thin line art and tinted the lines, and painted underneath. Time-consuming but very clean.This is a costume design for a Mugrobi wick. If you play Thorns, that will make sense to you.

Cool! I like it! I'd expect to see more eclectic things. Like chains and such hanging down or like chained belts with charms and such dangling down. Just a thought. Overall I like it.

There seems to be something a tiny bit funny going on with her legs... but I don't know if it's the right leg or left leg! That's being picky though.

The texture and the colors really make this piece. The texture kind of reminds me of...um...I guess they're called wood paintings? But, yeah, that's what I was reminded me of when I saw this. Great work, man.

Yeah I know what you mean about the shadow.. it looked flat without it, but with it, my eye goes crazy trying to find the sky. >.>
I did work huge, no pen tool though. I used a size 3 brush, which is WAY smaller than I'm used to. I could barely see the line. This reminded me why I love messy paints..

Her headpiece/dress makes me laugh. It sorta reminds me of a hollowed out pineapple.

According to one of the threads, he'd given Fion some fabric and such that his sisters/mother/family had made. At least, I'm pretty sure it was sisters. That's the only refference to them that I know of.

Ooh, I love this. <3 The colors are superb, as always.
The lineart definitely gave it a very, very different feel, though. It's more sharp, and in some ways it also feels a little more flat. Maybe it's the lines or maybe it's the shading, but something seems less creamy/rounded/dimensional. I dunno.
I like it, though. <3 I've always been a fan of more "illustrative" styles. And the cloth wrinkle lines are really nice.

Ooooohhh nice. The textures really make the image, and those are such the colors I pictured for Mugrobi folk. Sweet.
