Pink hair.
Pink lips.
Pink slurpee.
Camo.
*singsongy* One of these things is not like the other!
But seriously, it's funny in its own special way. I like it!

Quite playful, and certainly unexpected.

There's the dichotomy of a woman in full (and obviously well-used) battle gear enjoying a Slurpee; last I checked, they tended not to build 7-11s in or near war zones.
Then, of course, you scroll down and see the little girl at her feet, calm as you please. Which begs the question: if the (presumable) mom is not in a war zone after all, then how did her uniform get so worn and torn in the first place?
As I said, unexpected.

I have a joint obsession with steampunk, arabesque war zones and cheesy americana...in a story I'm writing, the three are joined in a sort of vaguely middle-east-meets-victorian-era desert area with the occasional forlorn gas station waiting beside huge battle tanks...the fashion is mainly for fun notice the ruffle...she's not doing any serious fighting. I have always loved gas stations. They crop up in the most deserted places, and even in foreign and unfamiliar places you can count on getting a coke and some Bubble yum.

Since you have freely admitted to an obsession with steampunk, I have two items to share:
One of my all-time favorite RPGs is Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. [link] It's no longer in stores, but you can find it online or at auction, if you're so inclined.
And last night I caught the preview for The Golden Compass [link] due out in December; it just about blew me away. If you haven't yet read the Philip Pullman books, I enjoin you to seek them out forthwith.

I've loved Philip Pullman since I was a little girl...I'm so glad they're finally making a movie. It looks pretty good from the trailer, though I'm not fond of the girl they got to play Lyra for some reason.

People said the same about one or the other of the Harry Potter trio, and they all turned out all right.
And I knew I forgot to mention something: have you ever read Phil Foglio's Girl Genius? If not, it's now available as a webcomic. [link]

I've been recommended to read it...I think I will look at getting the graphic novels though, because I look at a screen for several hours a day as it is, I don't want to extend it

My only problem is that the one standing looks like she is about to tip over. But everything looks awesome. I adore their hair :DD

Let's go out for SMOOTHIEEES!
I like the expressions and the highlights in the hair are nice. Also, the background is neat.
