(this is an owl-dragon, club mods!)

A blanket of snow, stretching for miles across. Eternal night.
Two things stir; you, and her.

But she's found you.

Now there's just her.

Phase, my conceptual shapeshifting character with no real form.

Universal Laws of Phase:
- she has two forms; good/life, evil/death.
- she represents a contradiction.
- her evil form consists of dark, monochrome, and dull colors while her good form consists of bright, vibrant, light colors (or vice versa, but colors are separated in this way).
- she NEVER takes the same form twice!

My Perception of Phase:
- the contradiction I draw her as is as follows;
Her good, or life, forms are humanoid creatures (nymphs, mermaids, etc.) and her evil, or death, forms are animal-like creatures (mammals, fish, etc.)
Her good form kills those who have committed sin and her evil form kills those who are fearful and weak (and saving those who are in peril).
This portrays the inverse of the stereotypical world-context view that mother nature is good while humans are evil by highlighting the cruel, merciless, survival-of-the-fittest (killing fearful and weak creatures) parts of nature and the forgiving, unbiased, and justice-seeking (killing those who have committed sin) parts of human beings.

This does not mean that I promote the idea of humans being better than nature (or vice versa); rather, it is an exploration of an atypical view of the relationship between nature and man that I will express through Phase.
Phase also helps me in that she has no basic image structure for which to reference in order to draw her; I simply draw a new thing every time.
This also gives anyone who wishes to draw her their own artistic license of what she looks like (and makes her near impossible to copyright xD ), but the artist must follow the Universal Laws of drawing her. In this way, anyone can take inspiration from her idea and draw something similar without having to worry about copyright (though I would appreciate if you would credit me and say this is a form of Phase so I can collect the different artistic takes on her concept).

So yes.

(This particular image is of her in her evil/death form, and I was exploring creepy and spine-chilling settings with dark shadows, as well as a blurred, hard to directly concentrate on image. She is a barn owl/dragon/dark creature mix, as I find dark owls creepy; however, my mother loves owls and thought this drawing was the "sweetest thing" ;;
Maybe I need some blood...>> )
