So here's another series of WIP shots for my stumpy dwarf goat satyr legs. I absolutely adore the cute, toony appearance of them so far. I'm going to attempt a dropped crotch on them to help with their stumpy look, but I may stitch it up to be form-fitting if it doesn't look good. I didn't put up the one picture that showed how HUGE the hips look, and I may be shaving the padding there to be slimmer once everything's sewn up.I should have moved that pink exercise ball out of the way... it's very distracting :<
EDIT: I do not do commissions of any sort. It is perfectly alright for these to be used as a reference for your own work.

Where do you get the fur fabric to make these? I'm interested in making my own and I don't know what websites to trust. These look very nice by the way, I really like them. <3

The foam is hot glued onto the pants. It's better to use spray glue for this, or to do the "pillow case" method, where you sew fabric casing around the upholstery foam, and sew that directly onto the leggings (or into the fur skin). The fur skin is not glued onto my leg here. I didn't glue it down when I finished the other side of it, either. The fur is completely separate from the legs; I pull it over top. I used that method so that I could more easily remove the fur skin for washing, or so that I could sew a different fur skin for a different costume.
To summarize: foam is completely glued (including the green fabric I stuck over the knee), and the fur skin is completely sewn and separate from the padding.

Oh wow, this is immensefully helpful. I don't think I've seen people do padding the way that you have. Thanks a lot for posting this, I'm planning on revamping some faun legs I made a few years back.

Ah, I'm very glad you like them! I'm not positive what I did that was different. Do you mean the overall shape, or just the fact that I glued the foam straight onto stretchy pants instead of sewing or gluing it into the fur? (This way is wayyy better for if you want to reuse the padding but redo the fur, in my opinion XD)

It was the padding in the butt, sides of the thighs, and around the ankles that I don't think I've seen before. From what I've seen, most people just do the foam directly on the front of the legs and behind where needed, not towards the sides. CanineHybrid did some digitigrade legs where she put padding on the sides and I really like the natural movement it made in a WIP walk video she did. I did my first pair of legs with just the foam on the front and back and I noticed it doesn't make a smooth shape, I see a noticeable (may not be noticeable to other people who aren't looking closely enough- but flaws are always most noticeable to the person who made them) dent where the empty space is. I also like how you patterned the fur, I noticed it helps to emphasize the shape of the bends in the legs.
What I did for my last pair and the new ones I'm doing is sewing pouches for the padding, then sewing those pouches on to leggings. Of course this takes more time, but naturally those legs get pretty hot and I really don't want to be walking around in sweaty gross leggings whenever I put the costume on. The fur kind of slides off the pants like a sock. So that way I'm able to remove the fur, remove the padding, and wash the pants.

The addition of padding onto my hips was something I was unsure about, but kept anyways. As for the flowing shape, I get what you mean. What a lot of people forget about is that it's 3D, meaning that if you do blocky pieces, it won't give your legs a round enough quality. They'll look like blocks from the 3/4 angle, and possibly funky from the front as well.
Haha yeah, markings are a great way to display shape better! I highly recommend making your hackles a darker or lighter color, because it makes the bottom of your leg look sleeker!

Those are by far the best digitigrade legs I've ever seen! They're positively perfect!

Oh, you flatter me far too much. Yes, I put a lot of work in getting the right proportions and shape for the padding, making the fur patterns for them interesting, and using black/a darker color on the back heel to help make the leg appear thinner... But the shoes/hooves are DEFINITELY terrible, because these are only really for Halloween, and I knew I would put the effort in to make better ones if I ever considered selling these or wearing them for another event.
