It was a sunny morning in the Pride Lands but not all was peaceful as usual. Uzani was stretched out on her side and as she began to stir and stretched her little limbs. She wasn't able to get much sleep the previous night as her parents, Tiifu and Kion had been clashing for a majority of the following day which put . Her father had only been home for two days and he'd been acting totally astringed from his family but was friendly with his parents and his sister, Queen Kiara. It was almost as if it seemed he stricken with guilt and Tiifu had finally had enough and decided to call him out and finally seeking the answers that she and both they're cubs deserved to hear what happened while he'd been away for one full year that made him change so suddenly and grow cold and distant from Tiifu especially.

Uzani had made her way out of the den to find a crowd gathered around. Her brother, Shujaa was standing there looking tensed up as well as her cousins Kibo and Chiku and they're cousins from they're father, Kovu's side of the family. Vita and her brother, Nguvu. Some of the cubs where stunned that the royal couple where squabbling like a couple of immature cubs and Uzani felt a prickle of tension begin to creep through her pelt. As her amber gaze shifted back and forth sadly between her parents.

Tiifu: "Why can't you understand! I just want to know what happened in the time since you left home? What's changed between us?! I thought we were happy and after all I went through to give you, give US the family we deserved to have. You know about my family's infertility history, Kion! I struggled to give us these cubs and now you're just going to walk away like it was all for nothing!"

Kion: "You're jumping to conclusions, Tiifu! I will always love our son and daughter and be the father they deserve to have but I think for us we need some time apart until I can figure some things out and which direction I'm going to take my life from here."

Tiifu; "But why can't we do that 𝗧𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥?! I love you, Kion I've loved you really since we were cubs I especially realized it when you gave me encouragement to get through those tunnels we were stuck in with Zuri and you sister. Please, Kion tell me. Tell me what's changed between us? I'm 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗪𝗜𝗙𝗘 and if the situation was reversed I would certainly tell you my troubles! Just tell me, my love. I 𝙉𝙀𝙀𝘿 to know... Kion: "𝗔𝗟𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗜𝗙 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗦𝗢 𝗕𝗔𝗗𝗟𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝙃𝙀𝙍𝙀 𝙄𝙏 𝙄𝙎! I fell in love with the Crowned Princess of The Tree of Life!"

This caused a gasp to echo around the bystanders but Kiara wasn't so surprised as she now came out to witness the argument that was taking place as she and Kion had a conversation the night before at why he was so distant towards Tiifu without giving her an explanation.

Uzani and Shujaa's eyes both widened in shock at what they're father had just confessed in front of the entirety of the pride that was watching. Shujaa began to glare at his father as he dug his claws into the gravel to rid his body of the stress he was feeling right now.

Tiifu was speechless as she shook her head in disbelief.

Kion: "But that's not all... Before I left Queen Rani revealed to me she was..." Kion looks away from Tiifu as he couldn't face the tears from that stunned look frozen onto her face as she waited to hear that next part so he let out a deep breath and continued. "She revealed to me she was pregnant with my cubs..."

Kion then felt the claws swipe across his cheek as he looked back at Tiifu with guilt in his deep brown eyes.

Uzani had heard enough and she raced back into the den passing Mzuri and Nzuri in the process as Nzuri had looked back at poor Uzani sadly as she approached her Grandfather, Simba and he opened his paws in a comforting gesture for his granddaughter. Mzuri happened to smirk pleasingly as she had to add her voice to the shocking conversation.

Mzuri: "Great Kings I'd hate to be Uzani and Shujaa right now. What shame they must feel that they're prideful father happens to be a..."

Zuri: "𝐌𝐙𝐔𝐑𝐈!!"

Mzuri looks up at her mother and with a look of disappointment but shrugs her shoulders and rolls her eyes.

Kion looks at Tiifu with guilt and a bit of sadness.

Kion: "Now you know why I--"

Tiifu: "Get the hell my sight...𝙉𝙊𝙒!!!"

Kion slowly walked away and his gaze fell upon the cubs but one cub in particular. His son Shujaa whose fur was brisling with the anger he felt for his father right in this moment.

Kion: "I'm sorry son. I'm sorry you had to witness that."

Shujaa: "You can go join Shaitaan's realm for all I care! I no longer consider you my father!"

Shujaa rushed inside to comfort his sister. Kion looked around as everyone else went back about their business. Zuri went to check on Tiifu and Kion looks at his mother and sister before leaving to think things over and what he should do next with the wound on his cheek still stinging with fresh pain.
