PLEASE KEEP FLAMES TO YOURSELF! I DO NOT RESPOND TO THEM SO IT IS YOUR TIME BEING WASTED! ^_^ Thank you.Hello, here is my first Superman/Batman (Bruce Wayne) slash art. I had been thinkin' of doing a pic of them as a pair for a long time but never got around to finishing something.
For those that may not know, 'Kal' is Superman's real name, "Kalel'. I've read and heard DC characters refer to Superman as such.
I thought it be better to portray Batman as Bruce Wayne, a vulnerable delicate human in the hands of the Man of Steel--his office desk can take the incoming intimatcy I think.
XD LOL
This Batman/Superman won't be a regular thing for me, its just something I needed to get out of the way after seeing some clips of the animated Justice League America---dammit, why do some shows have to be so damn slashable?!! Because my damn mind is always in the gutter!
Anyway, hope you like the image--now I can go back to work on other stuff....thank you for lookin'!

Personally would not have portrayed Batman as vulnerable as this, I see him as the kind of person who would use, erm, the power of submission... playing seductive submissive rather than helpless. I don't see him as helpless. Plus Bats doesn't even like it when Kal has to carry him in flight... he prefers his bat plane or some other mode of transit, just out of pride, so he'd have to have some level of power in the relationship.
on a somewhat un-related note, ever notice how Superman's girlfriends always have initials L.L.? (Lois Lane, Lana Lang, and I'm pretty sure there was one more...)
um... Lex Luthor anyone? I think DC comics intended Superman to be gay lol. So this portrayal is fitting and I like it

I know whay'chyu mean of Batman never being submissive, but I kinda felt he would be careful when it came to Superman, as he knows he can get hurt easily and this would make any human superhero nervous, despite his trust in him. And Sups can have a temper sometimes.
But for this image, the signifigance is Wayne's soft reaction, a kind of 'melting' of his coldness to Superman's warmth (omg, what a cliche staement I know Xb ).
From my Batman knowledge, I feel Batman/Bruce Wayne still has a childness to him (he does not show this often, but it is very apparent in his sense of justice and exectution of it and his all around stubborness and willing to give criminals a second chance). A large part of him is not use to affection one would recieve from parents and freinds, and Clark (the strongest dude in the world) displaying this would envoke within Bruce a temporary sense of security, like a child in its mothers arms--since Superman is a 'mother-hen' kind of guy. And Clark and Bruce both belive in justice, this meaning that they would wholeheartly respect one another to have an equal relationship.
And i would be embarrased too if Superman had to carry me anywhere, mostly becuase I do not prefer prolonged close contact and I would rather control my sense of direction. Being held by Sups however, Batman can't take off at the spur of the moment as he is known for XD--kinda like a kitty that doesn't like being held for very long.
Superman: "But yer so cute! X3" *squeezes him a little bit*
Batman: *pushes Sups face away* "Can't you make this trip as quick as possible?" >_<;;;

Hey yea of course, I always love talking Batman. I actually own a very large collection of Batman comics, and all the "Superman/Batman" comics which they started doing a few years ago. And I guess I get what you're saying about the melting in Superman's arms because he doesn't get close to a lot of people, even the ones he lives with! Although I think its actually Sups who is the more naive one, and he's the gentler one even with his added strength, I can think of dozens of times where Sups has popped in on Bats when he's "interrogating," or rather beating someone to a near-fatal pulp, and chastised him for being so rough. And they both give criminals the second chance cuz neither one of them is ever willing to kill. While Mr. all american boy Clark had a great and normal-length childhood, I don't think Bruce has been a child since he was like 8 years old, but I think that may be the point. After all, its nice to be childish sometimes, and Sups is just the kind of guy who could re-teach the concept of playfulness to him. That would definitely put the softness back in his eyes
Loving being able to have this chat without people thinking I'm completely nutters by the way, haha.

i really love this couple so i totally adore and admire this piece of yours.
even thougth for me bruce is the "man" in the relationship, you can really feel the emotions, clark overwhelmed crying while seeing all the scars in Bruce's body. just epic, wish you do more of this couple, all the details are perfect.

Something about this seems oddly... sweet? It might be the look. I know there are disgusting intentions in their heads, but their eyes speak stories.
Or is it the way Superman gazes down on Bruce and his massacred body, his lips partially open, as if he was in awe of an angel, rather than the man beneath the Bathood?
The slight OCC blush Mr. Wayne has on, or the calm and cool of Kal-El?

Well, when I drew this image out, I wanted to make Bruce look unfamiliarly vulnerable, kinda fragile, like how I draw the Joker sometimes--and any human being would be presented as such when held down by a poerful being >_<. As for Superman, I wanted to show him a bit out of character, sort of in 'dominant' position, a wish to control someone that is emotionally constipated by resorting to braun over reasonable approach.
One is the heart, one is the mind, and the sensuality is what brings them to understanding, if not all the time, at least briefly.
Besides that, there are not many people that get to see the softer, wanton, expressions of Batman/Bruce Wayne, and maybe Big Blue is as overwhelmed by that reality as Bruce is of the situation.
