Live Journal COmmunity "Joker in Ink" is lookin' for new members, yaay! I just recently joined (and I hardley join anything).
I had discovered they have a dedication to the Joker as seen in the comics and in animation (my preferred versions). No DK Joker version/topics over there, yaay! Whoohoo! XD
Had a sudden rush of fangirl sketches after I saw a few images of the 'reborn' Joker from the Batman comics of a series called Batman: RIP.
I wish I could have the comics on hand to read, but I cannot afford them TT_TT *cries---but I have seen a few images from the storyline and was like, Holey Crap!
At first I was a bit offset with the gruesome look, and thought it too bad his mouth is scarred like the movie version, but then, after seeing a few more images---uhh....he's still so cool!! >_<*blushes
I prefer this comic book version of the white coat, slicked back hair, vicious version of Joker than any movie interpretation.
The way he is drawn, he resembles even more of the dude played by Conrad Veidt, "The Man who Laughs" (yes yes I know, the Joker design was inspired by this movie).
I love silent movies, especially TMWL, and now with the Jokers lips twisted back with stitches stuck in the grin, he looks more like Gwynplaine than ever (minus the killing and bloodlust) XD.

Sorry for all the watermarks--I just don't like seeing fanart being used by others without credit being given as to who drew them. Watermarks are somehting I wil do from now on..
Oh, and if anyone tries to argue which Joker is better (books or movie), I will disable comments >_<

Wow! Thank you for these wonderful images. I just read Batman R.I.P. and couldn't get over how sexy the "reborn" Joker is. Your images just fan the flames.

Very amazing. Personally, I think all of the incarnations of Joker rock. Even the Alternate dimension Joker thats good.
I personally would love to see all the Jokers in a line-up...

I know some people uses your artwork without giving you the proper credits but...please, don't screw your perfect artwork. I mean, in some places you really miss "the real deal" or, in the least, it makes you feel like you have judged your artwork and added the watermarks in the most important places...T.T

My aplogies, But they HAVE been taken (all the Batman/Joker images in my gallery--quite repeatedly used)--not that I don't mind, its the fact that they do not let others know who did the art when they use it for something of thier creation.
I don't like having to do it either, but it is the only way people will know who did it without giving credit if its used again for thier own purpose. >_<
So, you can thank them for me having to do this. *sighs

Two things I must know.
1) How long did it take to daw all of them?
2) Can I color it? I'll put watermarks in less obtrusive places, like on the clothing.

Hi! I'm sorry I did not reply to these questions--I miss alot of comments posted on this thing >_<
1. Uhhmm--I really can't say how long the images took me--they are only sketches-- less than 1/2 each--kinda had to turn down my habit of manga-drawing again and again to make it more lifelike--but after a few renderings I was able to get inro the mo-jo of something a little more life-like--but from what i have read in the Comic forum thingies, it still looks manga-ish XD
2. Sure you can color them dude! Please go ahead--maybe post 'em in INK?

Ohhh--I looked up when Joker would be seen again this month--and it looks like its from some other story/series by Kevin Smith--the same artist too--so its the ugly Joker that will be seen, not the new RIP version--Dang! XD

Oh heavens no! In the DC Comics forum, many many people said Tony Daniel has been the most eye-popping artist of the early 2000s.
He also has his own blog & would love to hear your praise.

Oh I'm glad... it's just that the people I've encountered that have said negative things about the RIP series also tend to have negative things to say about Daniel's art. I don't understand it. I think his work is excellent! I'm so glad I found others who agree with me...

I like the art he did for the Joker too (especially those rare cover arts of Joker and Batman battling)--he made Joker as everyone compares him to (David Bowie)--besides being the Pale thin duke, and slick hair, he even made one of Joker's irisis smaller than the other, just like Bowie's eye(and it is this in Bowie's eye that gives the illusion of him having differnt colored eyes, in case anyone is wonderin' Xb--I think it was due to an eye injury when he was younger).
