Description
I wanted to try out a more horror approach to TF, still being this close to Halloween. I'm trying to relax from Inktober, preparing myself to attack commissionsSo I decided to use a Worker Class Slimesect, an body-snatching original species of mine.
Feel free to ask questions if you're interested; I'll try my best to answer!
The whole species isn't final yet, so please bear with me.
And yes, I do intend to open commissions for them at some point.
A lot have asked already -v-

Uuuuwweuugh! How does such an unsettling tf trigger turn out so cute?
...Seems we'll need to perform more observation to find out! xD

The process of becoming a slimesect is very unsettling especially in this picture

Ewww, for sure! Well, at least in that one surprisingly it seems like she actually goes into a goo cocoon briefly through the most severe changes. But all the same it started with a gooey bug jumping in her mouth which doesn't help.

Would this insect be like a parasitic, symbiotic or like kind?

Thwill In reply to Azar2002 [2018-11-05 05:07:49 +0000 UTC]
Closer to symbiotic, yeah.
Sure they don't ask before making themselves at home but they do gain more from a healthy symbiosis.

Their bodies merge, so they end up becoming one being so keeping a healthy body will only the new slimesect.
Parasitic would more so be leaching off the body and consuming it to the bone.

Oohhhh, A nice reminder of Halloween that just passed
You mentioned in the description "Worker Class Slimesect", does that mean that there are other types of Slimesect in existence?

Does the bug take over the body? If so, what happens to the host's mind?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Thwill In reply to lizard-socks [2018-11-05 04:06:07 +0000 UTC]
The bug doesn't really have a "proper mind" so to speak so it compensates by using the host's already existing one as a building block
The body essentially keeps the same memories and personality for the most part. So aside from a few differences, they could still be seen as the same person.

Ah, ok, so it's less "ASSIMILATE. JOIN THE HIVE" and more "Oh! Ok wow. This is different, not necessarily bad though" then?
And differences? Like what?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Thwill In reply to A-non-mouse [2018-11-05 05:13:19 +0000 UTC]
Well that's the thing, it'd be a middle ground. There is still a "hive" that'd want to join but it'd be more so like a background app that's always running as opposed to just plain brain-washing since the host's memories and personality is mostly intact.
So unless it's a direct order from the Queen or something that triggers survival instincts, it's in the clear.
